Local Chimney and Fireplace Service in Westchase

Not every chimney is brick. If your fireplace is a factory-built unit with a metal flue inside a framed chase, it needs parts and repairs that belong to that system, and we provide that service in Westchase, a community in unincorporated Hillsborough County. Book a repair or any other service no more than 72 hours after that inspection and a 10% discount applies to it. The chase cover is the metal pan that caps the framed enclosure. Thin galvanized covers can rust, sag and hold standing water, which then finds its way down the flue or into the framing.

A replacement is made to the measured size of the chase, with a raised center or cross-break so water runs off, a drip edge on the sides and a storm collar that seals around the flue pipe. Stainless sheet holds out against rust much longer than galvanized. Water that gets past the cover can damage what you cannot see.

Soft or stained siding, cracked stucco and a musty smell near the fireplace can all point to wet framing inside the chase. Inside the house, a factory-built firebox has its own refractory panels, screens and flue sections, and replacements must be the parts listed for that model. A system tested as a whole is no place for generic substitutes.

Look for the rating plate, often on a firebox side wall or behind the lower louver, without removing any panels. The brand and model tell us which parts and instructions apply.
